The race to elect San Diego's local leaders is entering its final stretch. As Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th, approaches, the Chamber is thrilled to host Virtual Candidate Conversations to connect candidates with the community.
This Conversation will focus on the 49th Congressional District seat featuring the incumbent Congressmember Mike Levin and Brian Maryott. Congressman Levin will be scheduled on another date due to Congress being in Session. We will update once available.

Brian Maryott is a conservative businessman, elected leader, and father who is running for Congress to restore common-sense representation to the 49th Congressional District. As a local elected official and former executive, Brian has proven he can work with anyone who has good ideas -he will bring that exact same approach to Congress. Brian is a Certified Financial Planner Professional _ he spent the majority of his career helping hundreds of individuals and families save for a rainy day, send their kids to college, retire with dignity and invest in their future. He steadily grew his planning business and was eventually promoted to Senior Vice President of his company where he helped manage hundreds of employees and billions in client assets.
Incumbent Mike Levin was raised in South Orange County by a Mexican-American mother and a Jewish-American father. He is the grandson of Mexican immigrants on his mother's side. He studied at Stanford University where he was honored to serve as student body president. After college, he served in the Coro Fellows Program and then attended Duke University School of Law. After law school, Mike served as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Orange County, supporting a variety of local, state, and federal political campaigns and community organizations. Mike serves on the House Veterans Affairs Committee and leads the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. Mike lives in San Juan Capistrano with his wife, Chrissy a graduate of the University of Arizona and Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, along with their two children.
