San Diego Women Connect - The Reality of Women in Leadership

Women are increasingly taking on leadership roles in all areas of society, from the corporate world to government to nonprofits. However, they still face a number of challenges in these roles.

One of the biggest challenges is that women are often judged more harshly than men. They may be interrupted more often in meetings, or their ideas may be discounted more easily. They may also be held to higher standards of appearance and behavior.

Another challenge is that women often must balance their work and personal lives. This can be difficult, especially when they have young children. They may feel like they have to make sacrifices in their personal lives in order to succeed at work.
