SPECIAL SUMMER GIVEAWAY FOR BLOOD DONORS IN JULY

From July 1 – July 22 anyone who donates blood at a San Diego Blood Bank donor center or mobile blood drive will receive an exclusive, 75th Anniversary Beach Hat as a token of appreciation (while supplies last.) 

Summer is one of the most challenging times of year to collect blood due to increased travel, school breaks, and high temperatures. Yet the need for blood doesn’t take a vacation. Hospitals and patients across Southern California rely on a steady blood supply every day for trauma care, surgeries, cancer treatments, and more.  

To be eligible to donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Donors are asked to arrive hydrated with Photo ID and to allow about one hour to donate blood from registration through recovery. 
 
Appointments will be honored first; walk-ins welcome. Eligible blood donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment at sandiegobloodbank.org/beach-hat or by calling 619-400-8251.
