About Us

I started my formal education in Commercial Art and Design and quickly became interested in photography as a way to express my vision. In 1990, I began my career in a retail portrait studio where I discovered my love for photographing people. I did that for seven years before starting a family. At that time I had the opportunity to purchase a Hasselblad medium format film camera, where I continued photographing friends, family, and direct referrals as a part-time business while raising my kids. In 2007 I bought my first digital SLR camera and have enjoyed the opportunities this new technology allows. In my determination to be at the top of my game I received my Certification as a Professional Photographer (CPP), through the Professional Photographers of America, this year, and am continually learning new skills through continuing education and professional groups. I love connecting with people and believe that everyone deserves a portrait of themselves that they love.
